Not Just No, But Hell No!

Ok, this is why high profile defense attorneys are seen as scum by people who think the truth is important. Yes, I know that some of them have morals and ethics but this lady is clearly not part of that crowd. I’m no longer convinced she is even halfway smart. When asked if she would let Casey Anthony baby sit her children or grandchildren she reveals her real beliefs by completely dodging the obvious answer and going straight to the excuse making/apology that her client seems kind of nice and they got along. The whole “she didn’t seem threatening to me” is so unbelievably laughable it is hard not to yell out. Of course you got along stupid! Your evil bitch client kills children that cry too loud not unethical douche bags like you, now answer the question!!

Jackie Chan Returns to Karate Kid Franchise

This is the first Hollywood Jackie Chan film since the Rush Hour series I am excited about!

MMA Judging As Viewed by Fighters

This is a great video. Most of the fighters have extremely good advice. Education is key, not every judge can train in an MMA gym, but good criteria will lead intelligent people to good decisions. Frank Muhrr (Aka Frank Mir) frames the problem very well as simply poor criteria. I would send the judges to a series of seminars or presentations by many of the big name coaches and fighters to give them perspective.

One thing I don’t see as a problem is the idea that different judges see different skills set as most important. If one judge prefers wrestling to striking that is life and the fighters do the same. The real question is by what criteria do they view wrestling as more important than striking. Uriah Faber lays out a very good system to qualify judges — make them go through a testing and certification program.

Rutten’s Rules

Dennis Hallman seems a bit sensitive about his HRT. It’s pretty obvious Bas doesn’t care about medical needs for HRT but rather performance enhancement. Either way it is good to see a legend like Bas taking this kind of stand against PED usage.

UPDATE: So apparently Hallman has been busted in the past for PEDs himself. No wonder he is defensive.

Tito lives to fight another day

The big news coming out of UFC 132 last night is Tito Ortiz’s submission victory over Ryan Bader. I have to admit, Tito impressed the hell out of me. You could tell he was more motivated than he has been in years during the walk-in. When the fight started, his striking looked crisper than I have ever seen and he kept moving forward instead of backwards like his last fight. When he dropped Bader and locked in the guillotine, it was clear that he had it in tight and Bader was not going to survive. I never thought I would say this, but I am actually interested to see who the UFC matches Tito up with next. It was interesting to see the reactions after he won, Randy was laughing and Chuck looked pissed. You know that people are going to push for these guys to come out of retirement and fight Tito again. Other than those two, it would be awesome to see Wanderlei come back to 205 and rematch Tito. His loss to Leben shows that he shouldn’t be fighting elite level strikers anymore, and Tito is a good style match for him. He doesn’t have to worry about getting knocked out on his feet, and Tito’s wrestling is a shadow of what it once was. Who would you like to see Tito fight next? Let us know in the comments!

Nate Marquardt- the Bottom Line…oh, and Tito is Being a Jerk Again

Dana White really says all that needs to be said about TRT and Nate Marquardt in this video. If I had known about this before I wouldn’t have written anything about the subject. IF it isn’t cheating on Nate’s part he has the worst Dr. on the planet and he should sue the crap out of the guy for ruining his career. I’m willing to bet dollars to donuts Nate doesn’t sue his doctor and if he does the case get’s tossed out. That my friends gives you your answer.
